Migration of XIR2-LiveoffR2-Xcel4.5 Dashboards to XIR3-LiveOffR3-Xcel2008

Hi All,

we have few dashboards that were build on WEBI reports running on BOE XI R2 based on the live office R2 and using Xcelsius 4.5.

Now we are using BOE XI R3 and installed Live office R3 and Xcelsius 2008 Sp1. When we open the old .xlf model it converts to xcelsius 2008 without problem. But the dashboard does not refresh or work properly. So on the excel data model, we tried to refresh using live office. Then it says that, you need to convert to Live office R3. If I say yes, it gets hanged. I have tried several times but everytime it hangs when upgrading the live office version from R2 to R3. Does anyone know the solution? Please help.

How about:

1.) Export our Excel-Models.

2.) Remove the LiveOffice-Connections

3.) Edd the LiveOffice-Connections again

4.) Reimport it to Xcelsius 2008 and configure LO-Connections in Data Manager

Sounds like a lot of work, but i suppose that it will be the "cleanest" way to migrate.

You should also make sure, when you migrate your WebIs with Import assistance, that the object ids stay the same. (Check out http://www.xcelsius-insight.com/index.php/2008/10/07/migration-of-liveoffice-connections)
