Are you looking for Posting Date or Creation Date???
Both can be found in BKPF.

BUDAT is the actual posting date, if you are looking for when it was entered ( created ) BKPF-CPUDT is the field

BUDAT is NOT the actual posting date. It can be defined previous to the date the doucment was entered. It is used only to determine what period the doucment is posted to.

The creation date for a document that will post in a previous period does not mean that it is actually posted on that date. But thank you for your response.
BKPF-CPUDT = 10/8/2008
BKPF-BUDAT = 09/30/2008
actual posting date is 10/10/2008
My question is how to get this actual posting date.
Thanks.

Atleast I have been using BKPF-BUDAT as the posting date.
However , if you found the date 10/10/2008 to be the actual posting date on any of the SAP screen fields , then press F1 on it and see the field name and table name.

The actual posting date of 10/10/2008 in the previous post is just an example. I am looking for this date in SAP. Because the posting date (BKPF-BUDAT) can be edited, it does not always show the date the finance document was physically posted.

I Got the same requirement
so i have used the enhancement concept to change the postingdate
(BUDAT) as Acconding Document Created date (CPUDT)
u can use this .

Posting date is posting date. There is no Actual posting date or so. Once you post an accountign document you cant chaneg the psoting date.
if you are seeign differently post the steps you are doing
