Rev 48 and Rev 47 on same Non Prod system - is it possible/recommended?

Hi,

We are on SPS 15 & Rev 47. Our non prod. rack is spilt evenly (5 blades each + 1 back up) between the 3 test environments we have.

My question: Can we upgrade only one test environment at a time to Rev 48 and move forward only after thorough testing. So essentially sandbox will be on Rev 48 while Q/A is on Rev 47 though they still use the same BIA Hardware. Is this type of configuration possible and recommended by SAP/Harware vendor.

The only other option is to upgrade all the 3 environments at the same time to Rev 48.

Hello Saurabh,

Yes, this is possible. I didn´t tried it till now but if you look at the attached pdf in note 883725, you will find at site 11 the option in the install script to choose between the instances on your system. The install script will find all instances on your system automatically. So you can run Rev47 and Rev 48.
