Crystal Reports Version With Compile Option

I am in dire need of a version of Crystal Reports with the Compile Option.

My hard drive died recently with our only copy of Crystal Reports 7.

I do have a Crystal Reports CD Version 7 *Upgrade* which I cannot install because I don't have a version to upgrade.

I searched your site for information regarding the compile reports option and found the following, however, I cannot find "scr8_distr_expert.exe" at: http://support.businessobjects.com/search/ which is mentioned in the article below.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Symptom

Crystal Reports 5, 6, and 7 included functionality

to compile a report and distribute reports through

the Report Distribution Expert. Compiling a report

creates an executable (EXE) file that can open and

run the report outside of the Crystal Reports

Designer. The Report Distribution Expert creates a

setup package that allows Compiled Reports to be

run on computers without the Crystal Reports

Designer.

In Crystal Reports 8.0 and 8.5, these features are

no longer available under the 'Report' menu, as

they were in previous versions.

Are Compiled Reports and the Report Distribution

Expert available with Crystal Reports 8.0 or 8.5?

Expert are available as a download from Business

Objects Support web site. Search for

"scr8_distr_expert.exe" at:

http://support.businessobjects.com/search/

Compiled Reports and the Report Distribution

Expert are only supported in the Developer Edition

of Crystal Reports.

after Crystal Reports version 8.5. Search for

As CR8 has long since passed it's support lifespan I really doubt you'll find this on the support site. Possibly from another user who still may be compiling CR8 reports.

You might even try google to search for the filename.

I am unable to find this file scr8_distr_expert.exe at the the link you provided.

Would someone out there be willing to give me this file?
