Product Costing and COPA - Engineering to order

Hi All,

I am working on the Engineer-to-Order scenario and am relatively new to Costing. I am working on the SAP best practices for IMC. What we did was installed the latest baseline V1.603 and now trying to implement the IMC scenarios manually. During the month end, the work in progress will be calculated for the production order or the project??. In the settlement profile attached to the production order, what should be the parameters. Whether it would settle to network or WBS element. If there is some document on the total process flow for Engineer-to order including product costing settings for the same, please send it across.

Hi,

ETO is complecated process.it all depends on your configuration and process.

WIP - if WBS attached to prodcution order WIP will be calculated at Project level.

Settlement:

Based on your materials assignment in project,if it is assigned to Network,production order settlement receiver is Network and if it is assigned to WBS,production order settlement receiver is WBS.

Hi Rau,

I would like to get your help on this. Can you please run me through the actual steps in costing we do right from start to end. There are many configurations in place through the baseline package I installed. I just need to understand the process and accordingly create new settlement profiles and new RA keys etc for production order settlement or Project settlement.
