Unable to Creat A/c

Hi,

When I try to create expense a/c's by FS00, I am getting a message "Make an entry in field "P&L statmt acct type"

I checked OB53, it is showing only one Retained earning a/c.

Can you please let me know how to create Expenses a/c?

Hi,

You have to give the retained earnings sign X in that field and try i hope it will work.

When there is only one retained earnings a/c. in OB53, you will not see the field in FS00. Quite a strange error Ameet. I looked for a Note, but to no avail.

As per your reply, I entered X in the retained earnings a/c and it resolved the issue.

Hello,

Please check you have maintain only one reatain earning account in OB53. If multiple account entry is made then system will ask for under which retain earning you want to maintain the new expense account.

Did you try to look at the retained earnings a/c. linked to X in OB53 - is everything ok with that GL a/c.?
