Hello Experts,
is there a possibility that inner leaves are automatically created with the import of a taxonomy or a hierarchy using the Import Manager.
For my scenario it isn't suitable creating hundreds of inner leaves manually using the Data Manager.

Sven
Hi,
Current versions of MDM doesn't have this type of functionality may be in future releases. If you are importing from Excel then you may add leaf node directly E.g. your hierarchy structure is like
Test
Test1
Test2
and you want as an Internal leaf in your hierarchy then in Excel only if your are creating hierarchy like Name Test Test; Test1 Test; Test2 add one more record Test;
In both the ways you are creating an internal leaf manully but the only difference is in Excel it will be faster as compare to MDM.

Hi,
loading the hierachy already works fine.
My problem is the following one.
The hierarchy looks like this
17000000
-- 17100000
-- 17101000
-- 17101010
I can only map products to the node 17101010. But, I want also map products to the parents.
Using the Data Manager I can manually create an inner leaf. Then the required mapping is possible.
But we have more than 1000++ parent nodes. So the approach creating the inner leaves via Data Manager is not really useful.
Does anyone knows an automatic solution?.
Using the way as described by an earlier reply doesn't creates an inner leaf.

Sven

It works, but it doesn't really creates an internal leaf.
Are there any other solutions?

Hi Sven,
Did u try Partition Field/Value option in Import Manager?
Using partitioning u can create Hierarchy.
Suppose u hv 3 fields in Excel sheet:
Country State City
IND Mh Pune
IND Mh Kop
IND GU Surat
Then in Import Manager, go to Partition Field/Value tab.
Then select Country field from Source Hierarchy.
So u can see State & City (Remaining fields) in Partition Field/Value's Source side window
Now add State & then City.
So import Manager will create structure like:
IND
-
Mh
-
Pune
-
Kop
-
GU
-
Surat
I hope this is what u r looking for.
Thanks,
Mahi
