Hi,
what is the functionality of 'Set table Location' in Business View manager?
when will we use this facility ?
Thanks,
Sriram
Hi Sriram,
'Set Table Location' allows you to do two things:-
1) Change the data connection that data tables, stored
procedures or command objects depends on.
2) Redirect the data table to point to another table.
i.e. Its similar to 'set data sources' in the crystal designer.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Vinay

Hi Vinay,
thanks for your advise.
These are the two points which i found in help doc, but could diagnoise how exactly it should be used.
For ex: to the point 1:
I have my procedures, command tables and normal databse tables in the same database. So, Now 'Change the data connection for these 3 objects' option is something i could not get as there all are available in same connection. Please correct if i am barking a wrong tree.
Point 2: 'To redirect data table to point to another table' :
Why and when is this functionality is used? Normally, i can point the tables in data foundation. How is this special to the normal one? please advise.
