change in static values for a parameter not getting saved in sap bw.

Hello,

Iam trying to modify few static values in the parameter in a crystal reports.

for example,

there is a parameter called country

only USA, Germany is avaiable now

iam trying to add another value India.

when saving as a local rpt file. the changes which i made is available. where as when trying to save it in SAP BW. I am not able to see those changes. However, other changes are available.

Can anyone help me in achieving what iam trying for?

Hi NMU,

I am not aware about SAP BW, can you try the following :

--If the report saved in SAP BW then delete the report and save a report which is reflecting your changes.

--Also try to create a new parameter with Country1 and add three countries and try to save the report. If that is working then remove the Country paramenter (old) from the report.

Thank You. I tried the way you told. I think there are some other dependencies as well which iam tyring to understand. when saved it as a local rpt file it is fine with new parameter list. problem is only when we are saving it in SAP BW..

when you have databse parameters created automatically when you connect to bex query. Then you cannot change the lsit of values for that particular parameter.

Listo f values for that database paraemter is automatically fethed up from SAP BW itself.
