FM for number of lines of text in database

the FM READ_TEXT gives me a table with text

but i want to have the text in a table with a length of my own definition.

for example:

READ_TEXT gives 5 table-lines with the content:

line 1: Attention:

Iine 2:

line 3: Please look at the bottom of the enclosed form

line 4: to know the weight of this package.

line 5: Regards, company A.

when i give a length of 20 the table should look like

line 1: Attention

line 2:

line 3: Please look at the

line 4: bottom of the

line 5: form to know the

line 6: weight of this

line 7: package.

line 8: Regards, company A.

there is a FM to WORD_WRAP a long text but then I have to do a lot of editing on the READ_TEXT table taking care of signs like *, = and so on. I also have to take care that the length of the concatenating line is a multiple of my desired length. also space-lines must be taken care of. so I'm writing more a text-editing program then something useful and i just want to know how many lines a database text occupies when given a certain length.

I maybe overlooked some vital information but i can't find anything useful that can be used without a lot of programming involved.

who can help me?
