Importing Document Templates

Hi,

Im having difficulties trying to import certain document template types into a business transaction so that when you click 'With Attachment' in the WebUI it is there.

The import works for MS-Word Documents, and i can successfully open them, but not for Excel or Powerpoint documents. When i try and open an Excel or Powerpoint documents they appear in the list with a MS-Word icon next to them and the system tries to open them with Word but then logs me out and takes me to the timeout screen.

Im fairly sure this functionality was available in previous versions of CRM.

I have been using the GUI transaction CRM_KW_TEMPL to upload the document to my business object as the WebUI does not have the import facility.

Additionally, i have made sure i have maintained the customising of file-types recommended on documentation pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi david,

I think you are using CRM 6.0, right? As I know, it is only possible to import PDF or MS Word files. All other formats are not supported in the UI!

Maybe you can have a look here! I have another problem with displaying the templates in folders: [;
