Open Documents in transaction CV04N

Dear Experts

During opening Documents in DMS in transaction CV04N occured this message:

The file C:\DOCUME_1\dir\LOCALS1\Temp\file.t cannot be created.

At the beginning of work with open Documents everything is ok, but after open few documents occured this problem.

I have never met before with this problem.

Have you any solution or hint with this?

First go to:

SA38> RSCMST , choose proper repository to verify if content server is up and running,

You can check report DMS_KPRO_READ to verify if original file can be copied from content server

Hello experts,

Problem was solved by install of Adobe Acrobat reader version 8. After

installation of it image the scans in CV04N was Ok. ECL Viewer version

is still 5.1.3.

Can you tell me pleas what happened to after update of Adobe Acrobat

Reader?

Hi Mr. Pilankar,

I tried to set the DC20 and DC30 as you said, I changed the ECL Viewer tools Grey scaling option, but problem with white paper still occured without dump in SM21 or ST22. The version of ECL is 5.1.3 and SAP GUI 710 and OS is Win2000. I don´t really know, what is the reason.

Dear Jakub Vanek,

Pls check whether your SAPGUI 710 is updated to current patch level Also Install the latest ECl viewer. I think the config setting suggested by seema & Pramod are correct. Its might be the issue with GUI

Hi Mr. Patil,

Can you pls describe me, where can I set the ECL Viewer to Grey scaling explicitli?

I thought, that after upgrade SAP GUI to version 710 with ECL Viewer version of ECL upgrate too.

Hi,

In DIR, if you open the attached TIF file, it will open in ECL viewer,in that screen beside tools tab there is tab called Options, if click on that you will find the Grey scaling option (just select the option).

Thank you for your answer,

the problem with opening documents was solved by reinstalling of new version SAP GUI,

but new problem was occured with image of the .TIF file. After open scan in format .TIF

paper is white. No error, only white paper.

Have you some solution?

hi,

If u r using ECL viewer for displaying then, please activate the Grey Scaling explicitly to achieve better display quality of the tiff files in ECL vierer.

This is normal problem faced in case of TIF files with old ECL versions. Please check which ECl viewer u r using. In latest ECL Viewer version this has taken care of grey-scale activation implictly.

Hi,

Apart from what Mr. Pramod had said kindly check the following configuration in the customization:

1) Go to DC30 select define workstation application create new entry:in that,

WS APPLICATION: TIF

FILE FORMAT: *.tif

Mime type: image/tif

Check entry in start authorization box

2) Define workstation application in network create new entry:

(Both display(1) and edit(2))in this,

WS :TIF

DATACARRIER TYPE: PC

Application type ; 1 and 2

Path with program name: EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%

I have same kind of issue but with different error. Could you plz reply to my threadhttp://scn.sap.com/thread/3360070     

This issue is suddenly started for 02 users. I have alos install SAP GUI latest patch but still issue is not resolved. Could you plz throw some light on it as it is quite urgent issue .

I suggest to use CV03N for displaying the document.

also please check whether u mainined c:\temp as local data carrier.

Thanks for your answer, it was very helpfull.

Please where can I set the carrier local data.

It looks like the my local data (C:DOCUME_1dirLOCALS1Temp ile.t) weren´t delete from this directory automaticaly and over the exceeding of 20 open files occure this problem with open else files.

go to tcode dc20, define data carrier (for front end computer).

it is the third folder from top.

click on that, and mentioned the path there.

In folder Define data carrier type "server, front end" I see bookmark:

Type: There is PC

Description: There is PC - Windows

Path: It´s empty

CAD system:It´s empty

Online: It´s check

So in to bookmark "Path" i´ll order c: emp

hi,

u have to maintain just path as c:\temp in path field... leave blank other field like CAD.

create one 'temp' folder on local PC c drive.
