hi,
we have an issue opening KM content links by users with normal (read) access rights .
i.e. a normal user cannot access any document of the KM by pasting the content Link directly in the browser.
Users get a portal runtime error which states that "Access is Denied "--> "Check Permissions".
Only super admins can open the documents using this method.
The user logs into the portal first.
Portal version 7.0 sp14.
thanks & regards,
Krishnen

Hi
What I meant was go to the folder in KM which is not accessible and there click on the context menu. and then check the permissions which i mentioned in the previous post.

Hi All,
What I found was that the permission for the end user was not checked in the path
System administration>Permission>security zone>sap.com.nw.wpc>no safety.
By right clicking the no safety option, I navigated to open permission and then for the end user to view the KM contents I checked the end user option.
This enables the contents to be opened via HTTP links.
THANKS A LOT TO HUSSAIN for helping in solving the message.

Hi Hussain,
I checked what you told me to do. The group "Everyone " is included and has the correct permission. That does not resolve the issue.
Any insights as to what the error might be??
Thanks & Regards,
Krishnen

Hi Hussain,
What i tried first was i went to
system administration>permissions>navigated to Portal content > portal users> standard portal users
then double clicked the "standard user role". Added the "Everyone group " to that role and enabled the "End user " check mark next to it.
Now how do I navigate to Context menu in the portal....
Thanks for giving me a solution.
regards,
Krishnen
