Mass update of matl master

Hi Gurus,

For around 2000 material we need to step-up a ABC value indicator in MRP1/plant 0910 of Material Master.

We have issues when doing with MM17.

Want some sugestions.... If we use LSMW how to proceed?

Hi,

If you have an issue with MM17, you can just create a simple LSMW programme, the following fields will get mapped with the recording..

RMMG1-MATNR MATNR Material Number

MSICHTAUSW- KZSEL(12) KZSEL_12 Checkbox

RMMG1-WERKS WERKS Plant

RMMG1-LGORT LGORT Storage Location

MARC-MAABC MAABC ABC indicator

Hi,

we can update ABC indicator in material master with MM17, this is the easy method.

If you are updating same value for all the materials use MM17. Different values for different materials MM17 will not work.

Or

LSMW is the best option. select batch input recording in LSMW and record the MM02 transaction.

Update the field with flat file.
