port generation in ale

Hi all.

My issue is I need to config ale bet two sap systems.For that I need to create ports using we21 in both inbound & outbound system.similarly partener profiles in both sender & receiver. I came across one scenario in whch I found both sender & receiver ports in outbound system only. Can we do like this? If it is i,n which cases can we perform like this. Can anyone let me know this.

it may be configuration of ALE between two different clients of same company

if it is so

Hi Sami,

There is no need to create the Ports in ALE. When u create the partner profile in BD82 transaction at that time the ports will be created automatically for that logical system.
