Hello experts,
I have installed Java Web Dynpro 7.1 and it works fine.
I then installed Java Web Dynpro 7.0, but I met a configuration problem.
I went to window->properties->SAP J2EE Engine and entered the server name and port number 3600 because my instance number is 0. However, I got the following error message:
Deployment exception : Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !
Can someone help me?
Thanks,
AnnaS.
Hi,
You can check if the Server is up and running.
Remember : The naming convention for Port is 3600 plus the port number. So, please configure it accordingly.
Thank You
Avik

HI Anna,
What I feel, the SDM server would be either stopped or would be restarting. You can check it by doing the following:
Open the J2EE engine view and expand the node. You would see the status of the servers. if any of the servers is not green, it means that the server is not ready and thus it would throw the error. Try to refresh the node. Once the server is running, you would see a green light.
I hope this would help you. If you seek any further help, I would be happy to help you.
Cheers!!!
Umang
