What is the best method to use to view the DTS package files for BPC NW? I am currently running an older version - Outlooksoft 4.2.
We have various packages that are used during data load processes, etc. My SQL person couldn't figure out how to open them using SQL server.
Could someone list the specific steps to view them in SQL server and / or recommend a DTS package viewer?
Best regards,
Greg
Hi,
Its quite easy to open up a DTS package in SQL 2000 assuming you are using outlooksoft 4.2
Open up SQL Enterprise Manager
connect to your database instance
expand the tree nodes until you see data transformation services
right click on the data transformation services FOLDER icon
click Open Package
voila.
please note instructions for following this are in the data manager help......

This question was never answered, but I am closing this since the SDN blog doesn't allow a user to have more than 10 open questions at a time. A rule that makes no sense whatsoever.
