Row Level Security Questions

Hi All,

The two row-level security related tables that I am building need to be created in a new schema of the replicated oracle database. This would allow the location based prompt access to this data.

Problem:

1) How can the location based prompt know who is executing the report (i.e., the end user's BO enterprise account)?

E.g., when a user clicks on a report object in InfoView, is it possible to pass to the report object who is currently logged in?

E.g., Is it possible for the Crystal Report object to find out, all by itself, who is currently logged into InfoView

E.g., u2026.

2) How can the location based prompt know what the containing folder's id is (i.e., SI_ID)?

E.g., Is it possible for the report object to find this out all by itself?

E.g., Might it be necessary to "hard-code"this information into the report-object itself? (I.e., would result in cloned reports if a report exists in more than one folder.)

E.g., u2026
