Extract BOM from ERP

Dear All,

is there any way that I can extract BOM (from PP/PM module in ERP) to BW?

Is there any standard datasource (attr/hier) that I can extract directly to BW?

If there some different way to do this, can you share the steps ?

Sorry, but that wasn't very helpful.

I need to extract only the BOM (from PP/PI) but not all MM-movements.

Hi Dirk,

There is no standard extractor for BOM. You have to create a custom function module based extractor. I have done the same. Are you looking for multi-level BOM explosion data?

And yes, I need to extract a multi-level BOM.

Start with get plants, then get data from MAST table and use the function module 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ' to get explode multi level BOM. You have to keep adjusting the dates from level 1 all the way down to reflect the valid from and valid to dates on ERP. You may want to delete all inactive data from STKO like where WHERE bom status NE '03'.
