Hello,

I'm trying to apply SP Stack 16 on an ECC6.0 running NW07 and I have an error message.

JSPM does not start anymore since I tried to apply stack.

With error message i find this notes [#1231975|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_upg/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31323331393735%7d]

I get this error message when I want to load only SAPJTECHS package with SDM :

Summary:
========
  There were 1 archives selected.
  0 archives successfully loaded.
   Loading of 1 archives failed.

Details:
========

Hi,

Thank you all for your help but my problem is not solved.

I tried to open archive file with winzip and it works correctly, so I think the SCA file is not corrupt.

I change the password in Secure Store and I'v still the same error message.

Hi,

Secure Store has nothing to do with this error.

Just now I saw the the complete error message.

It ends with (Access is denied).

So the problem is at OS level.

Try this.

Add group "EVERYONE" to the file properties and give full access rights to this group.

You can also check parent directory permissions.

BTW Since NW 7.0 you should not use SDM directly but JSPM instead. Otherwise you risk to corrupt your system.

Thank you Petar.

I don't really understand why, but your answer solved my problem.

I'm logged with administrator of the server, admin's group have full control on folder where archives are located.

I just remember that I was faced to similar problem due to windows update.

Hi,

We have faced similar problem while applying stack with JSPM.There was miss match in admin password at OS & Database level. We have changed it in Secure Area config tool after that it works fine.

Let me know if problem resolved else please update error log.

Hi,

This seems like corrupt SCA.

Is this the full error message?

Test the SCA with some zip tool.

(SCA, SDA and most of the Java archives ae actually zip's with additional metainformation)

Best regards,

Petar

Silly question, but is you SAPService<SID> user having needed permissions to folder?

Yes it's ok I have 50GB free on that disk.

As I said in my first post, it doesn't work with SDM.

The error message is from SDM.

Hi,

Make sure you sdm/program/tmp folder has enough space (3*deployable file size or stack). Also check whether any permissions problems exsists. Because SDM will try to load the file to the tmp folder before deploying them.

Hi,

Just try to deploy them using the SDM directly, Make sure your java is up and running.

Under what user (on OS level) you start your patching?

The <SID>adm user has Read permissions for the global EPS inbox directory /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in ? Regards.

I'm able to move, rename or remove file and everything seems to be ok at OS authorization level...

An other idea ?

Thanks,

file might be corrupted... have you tried to download a new copy and do it again?

Access is denied.

Check the permissions of the file D:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SAPJTECHF16_0-10003468.SCA at o/s level

EDIT: I have on a number of occassions now had issues with SAPJTECHF16 - use SDM to deploy it (after the premissions issue, if there is one, is resolved) and return to JSPM for the rest.
