Validations in XML forms

Hi

I am working with XML Formbuilder and I am stuck at validating the inputs entered,which includes-

1.Validating an input field against special characters

2.Text area for length

3. HTML Editor-mandatory,length restriction, and only string values.

4.Browser field for documents for type only .doc

5.Creating a checkbox group where atleast one checkbox should be checked

I tried with Data Schema pattern matching,but no luck.

Can these valdations be done in the Formbuilder or is it necessary to add the script explicitly in the XSL file.If XSL is the case, please help me in that.
