SAP online-help works after configuration, but not for my user

Former Member

Hello,

I hope someone can help we with the following peculiar problem:

We activated the online-help on the ABAP-part of the SAP BW 7.0 development and production systems. It seems to works an the production system (for all users). But on the development system it seems only to work for all users except for my user.

I get the message "Keine Dokumentation verfügbar" ( no documentation available ), when I try to access the online-help. (The help-files are available on a local file directory, that I can access.)

I copied my user and than it works. So I assume it does not depend on my computer, my SAP GUI, but on my user.

I recently did build up both the systems, so I assume there might be a hidden user dependent configuration I activated for this.

It scanned the following SAP notes, but did not find any help:

198638 (old), 310874 (error), 333584 (general description).

Has anyone an idea. Help or ideas are very much appreciated.

Best regards

Thomas

Hello,

if your user would not have permissions from within abap then there

would be - I'd say - a different error message issued then

no documentation available

Are you using the proper URL in the browser ? pls compare the URL with

the user which is working.

Can you access the documentation when pasting the link into the -> start -> run

command on your nt workstation ?

Hello Andreas,

thanks for the quick reply.

> Are you using the proper URL in the browser ?

The browser does not open, and I do not get any URL.

So apart from the (error) message, I have no clue where

to look in the system.

When I copy my user in SU01 and start the help page on the same system and computer, a browser opens with the correct URL.

Any idea?

Best regards

Thomas
