To block capacity of only one machine in a workcenter(group of machines)

Hi Experts,

In one of the implementations, there is one scenario where group of production machines(10 nos) are defined as production work center and each machine(of thegroup) is defined as a piece of equipment in PM.

The requirement is that the production capacity has to be blocked whenever maintenace is done on equipment. This can be done, however capacity of all the machines in the work center being blocked though only one machine(of thegroup) is brokedown.

Client is not interested to create a separate workcenter for each machine and wants to block the capacity of only the particular machine of a group when it is not available.

Is it possible? Please suggest...

Dear Srinivas,

You will need to do some development for this with the help of ABAP team, you have create Z table and store the group of equipments in the table, then write a program to block the PP orders being released against that equipment for the period of the maintenance work.

You need to use the user exit for this from PM side IWO10002 write the required condition in that program.

one thing you have to remember is you have to mention the PP workcenter in the equipment master Location tab.

Dear Srinivas,

I feel solution to this you will get in PP forum. Since PM can intimate PP that maintenace has been planned for that machine but it can't block capacity.
