EDI 845 - Price Authorization Acknowledgement/Status

can anybody give me an immediate answer, does SAP ERP or its Partner EDI Adapter support EDI 845?

Hi Jing,

it can be done either we need to use the stanard IDOC or create a custom IDOC that which is similar to EDI 845 (Price Authorization)

Hi,

Does this mean that SAP does not provide a "standard pre-defined" scenario for EDI 845?

The customer needs an additional solution to build that scenario whatever using IDoc or an EDI adapter from 3rd Party.

Am I right?

Hi,

SAP supports two kinds of 845:

1. For inbound 845 processing (usually used in wholesale distribution, especially pharma distribution):

The standard Compensation Management module within ECC 6.0 provides an inbound 845 map (see: https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/TradePriceSpecification+Contract)

2. For outbound 845 processing:

There's outbound 845 message processing within SAP CRM

The Vistex add-on may also have some 845 mappings, but that requires an additional license fee; I'd take a look at the Compensation Management module first. Check out my blog for some more details.
