copying a view

Hi All,

I tried to copy a view to another new name and I found the old one was deleted after copying. Please help me how to keep both the old and the new views after creating a duplicate one.

Hi,

I tried your scenario with 2 different programs copied a view from 1st project and pasted it in 2nd project. For that I just left clicked on the view slected copy then in 2nd porject on the view left click and paste, kept the same name for both the orignal and copied view and it works, no deletion of orignal view.

Are both your projects in different packages?

Hi,

You just need to copy the view and paste it again under the view context.. it works i tried without deleting the old view.. when I tried to keep the same name it gave a warning also.

Probably you are trying to do somthing else... can you please clarify

Hi Aishwarya,

I created one Webdynpro program Z_MAIN under that I have a View take it as FIRST. Now I have created another program Z_TOP now I have to copy the view FIRST to this program. When I copied to Z_TOP the FIRST in Z_MAIN is deleted. So what I need is I want the view FIRST in both the programs.
