Hi,

I have upgraded CRM 4.0 to CRM 2007 where in which the I have few functions to update, like the middleware, TREX and IPC. Which all of these comes as a inbult in the CRM 2007. These are not seperate services as like in CRM 4.0.

How can I make all these update and keep functioning.

Please do the needful.

Regards,

M Kumar.

Hello madhu,

Anish and Markus are correct . As far as IPC is concerned the fuctionality is combined with SAP_APPL

component in newer CRM versions which works with VM container

The question of how to make TREX and IPC up to date will be answered from upgrade guide only . It must be having separate section for this

Activate the IPC in the Virtual Container

As per SAP note 854170

vmcj/enable = on

vmcj/option/maxJavaHeap = <>

vmcj/option/ps=<>

values as per above note

IPC and TREX are still separate - where did you get the information that they are "built in"?

For IPC No separate IPC installation steps are necessary. If you want to use Internet Pricing and Configurator, you have to enable the Virtual Machine

Container (VMC) as described in SAP Note 854170.Hope this helps

Anish is right - IPC is integrated into VM Containers. If you modified/extended IPC you need to re-do that. Refer to the upgrade guide for a link to the migration documentation.

What TREX version are you running?
