Normally we create Excise JV when there is any mismatch between the excise to be collected and to be posted then when to directly post the difference to Excise G/L with Excise JV.
If you want to make any adjustments (be it debit or credit) related to excise, excise JV should be posted via J1IH. But practically, once you pay duty in excess to Central Excise, you cannot recover the same from them.
