Oracle at ECC 6.0

Hi Gurus ,

We are planning to install ECC 6.0 . Now we have one doubt . For Oracle there are 3 DVDS , Orace 10.2 , Oracle client and Oracle patch . Kindly advice me installation order between these three DVDS . Which one i have to install first , and which one second and third .

we need to install oracle client even if we are installing central instance or dialog instance.

Hi,

It all depends upon the configuration of your system.

If your central instance, application servers and database are residing in the same server then there is no need to have oracle client.

If database is in separate host then we need oracle client to be installed in the repective application servers and the central instance.Then the order will be installing oracle server in the separate host with the patch and then install the oracle client in the respective application servers.
