How to change MRP Type in mass ?

Hi experts,

I want to change MRP type (MDMA-DISMM) in MRP 1 view of material master. I checked in Tcode MM17 , but this field is not available for mass maintenance.

How to change it in mass? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you used MRP profile to create material master, try to change in MRP profile. So MRP type will change in all the masters.

Or the best way is LSMW.

MM17 is the best option. Addede to what other explained, you can run MM17 in background which will reduce the system load.

But I want change MRP type in MRP Area & its field is MDMA-DISMM.

I do not want change field MARC-DISMM.

In MM17 , i do not find this field i.e. MDMA-DISMM.

So , how to change in mass?

Hi,

You can go with MRP Area , Field Name MARC-DIBER.

Then Execute the it.

Then in the next screen add Field for MRP Type by suing Select Field option.

Here you can change MRP type as per your requirement.

As per your suggestion, In MM17, Using MRP area field MARC-DIBER ,& in the next screen added Field for MRP Type by using Select Field option. But this MRP type field is MARC-DISMM. I do not want to change it.

I want to change MDMA-DISMM. Please help me out.

Yes it is MARC-DISMM.

So only option left is LSMW or BDC.

Try with

FM : BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA , TCODE : MASS

Also you can use transaction MASS with object type BUS1001 choose field 'MARC-DISMM'

For MRP Type Use MARC-DISMM and not MDMA-DISMM

Why should he use table MARC (Plant Data for Material) if he want to change a field in table MDMA (MRP Area for Material)???

Hi Jay,

You can change MRP type in Mass By using T.code MM17 Itself.

Go to MM17 ---> Select Table MARC (Plant Data for Material) ---> Go to Field Data ---> Select Field MARC-DISMM (MRP Type) --> Execute ---> Give your Material List and execute again.Select your new MRP type and execute again.

Dear,

Tcode: MM17

Select Plant Data for material: MARC

In the menu: Click on Select New Fields

In the selction list, pick MRP type

Once MRP type is selection, replace old MRP type with NEW MRP type

Once New MRP type is selection, enter the materials or plant for which NEW MRP TYPE is applied

Lastly, execute the transaction.

You are trying to change value of MARC-DISMM

You can use BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA
