How to create a new delivering plant in SD?

This value , we want to use while creating the a new customer , in the sales area data section.

Dear Mukesh,

Plants are getting created in to MM-Module

Path: SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Definition --> Logistics-General --> Define, copy, delete, check plant --> Define plant

and are assigned to

1. Company Code (In Logistic-General)

Path: SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Logistics-General --> Assign Plant to Company Code

NOTE: Alternatively, you may use, T. Code: OX18

AND

2. Sales Org + Dist. Channel ( In Sales and Distributioin)

Path: SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Assign Sales Org -- Dist. Channel - Plant

Dear Mukesh,

You can define New Plant in the IMG

SPRO>IMG>Enterprise structure>Definition>Logistics general-->Define, copy, delete, check plant

After defining the plant you need to assign in these area.

SPRO>IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment>Logistics general-->Assign plant to company code

SPRO>IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment>Sales and Distribution-->Assign sales organization - distribution channel.

Now you can able to get the new plant in the drop down in the customer master ->sales area data (You can enter new plant in the delivering plant field.

Hi Mukesh

To Create a New Plant. Goto the path:

IMG---- Enterprise Structure---- Definition---- Logistics General----Define, copy, delete, check plant.

Here you need to create the Plant.

But usually Plant will be created by MM consultant. You need to assign the Plant to Sales area & Dist. Ch.

Valuation will be done at the Plant Level.

New Plant will be created by MM consultant.

We only assign the new plant to Sales Org,Dist.Channel in SPRO--> Assignment --> SD > Assign Sales OrgDist Channel --Plant
