Drop down key list not working in https network

Please can anyone help us in solving the problem which we are encountering with dropdown list in https network.

The drop down list is not working in https network, getting "error on page" when i click to select, but with http it works and populates without any error, we tried all possible setting in IE 6.0 (enabling options, adding into secure site etc..),

https acces is given to the external customers who are accessing our application.

Let me know if anything else we need to take care to solve this issue.

This issue got resolved automatically after IE was upgraded(Not sure still why the drop down was not listing for only few users in IE 6.0).

Can you give some more details of the error message and the code used for drop own.It would also be helpful to list the approach for accessing the application in https?
