Printing Error

Hello experts,

I have a customer that is receiving an error when attempting to print any document in B1.

whenever they try to print a document system throws error in popup window that states:

"Printed Document Can not Be Started"

when they click okay, there is a red bar error at the bottom of the screen that states:

"Printing Error message (200-33)

I have checked to make sure that the printer is connected and has paper. Also, that the printer has been defined as default in both windows and in B1.

I've sent a test page from windows and it prints without error. It only fails when printing from B1.

I've tried to find documentation in the notes and on this forum.

I've even checked the info .txt file for the patch release (2005A sp01 PL43) and the two following patches with no luck.

Has any one run into this error before.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Lucas

Hello Lucas,

Please refer following steps which is applicable

PLD (Print Layout Designer) any modification done recently

If you can print from Windows you refresh SAP B1 in order to take effect.

Check Authorization: Administration --> System Initilization --> Authorization --> Document Setting

Hope this helps

Dear,

Please check the following scenario:

Scenario:

1. Go to System Initialization->Print Preferences->Per document tab.

Choose any marketing document type (For example: Delivery).

2. Check the Print Document checkbox and set Copies (Incl. Original): 2,

Copies for Manual No. Assignment:1

Choose in field When Batch/Serial No. Exist, Print: 'Batch/Serial No.

Only'

3. Create any marketing document, choose item that manage by serial or

batch number.

4. Add the marketing document and the document is printed.

Actual Results:

Only one copy of the marketing document with the Batch/Serial is printed, then the message 'Printing Error [Message 200-33] is displayed to screen, although it's defined that 2 copies should be printed.

If it is your scenario, the issue you reported is now a candidate to be fixed in a future version.

Wish the information above could solve your issue.

Dear,

If my last reply is not your scenario, Your issue may also caused by print to network printer via terminal environment.

the error message 200-33 refers to Auto print on document add.

Some similar issue regarding the Auto print function is fixed in SAP

Business One 2007A SP0 PL15. Please have a look to SAP note 1128795.

Your issue is a little bit different, but I mean is already solved also

in this version of SBO, as there is used the same functionality.

Until the upgrade to SBO2007A please try the workaround below:

Please set the direct printing method instead of the print query on the customer's Print Server.

As the Citrix connection method was not clarified. I suggest to test the

issue with accessing to SBO Client via the Citrix Remote desktop

connection and with the accessing to SBO Client as a Published

Application. Maybe there are some differences, which can solve this

issue.

As one of possible workaround also please try to use the Citrix Print

Service, where is possible to optimize, monitor and capture the printing

jobs.

Hi Lucas,

The better way to handle it is asking your customer when and how that problem occured.

You should be able to narrow down to the reasons for anything cause the problems.

When nothing can be printed out from B1, it will be a high priority problem. If you can not find the cause in a short time, log to SAP support ASAP.

Thanks,

Gordon
