Hi Amit,

Heres an elaborate step by step approach which i hope will solve your problem:

kill any running transport

1) Make sure that NO transport is being performed

2) kill all running transports

3) look at the OS level for any tp or r3trans process and kill them if they are there.

4) check table trbat and trjob for entries remove any entry.

5) resechedule rddimpdp by running rddnewpp as user ddic in se38 in all clients.

6) refresh queue in stms

7) in the queue go to menu goto -> import monitor

menu monitor -> delete old entries

if any request is left there, please trash it.

till no import processes found.

😎 refresh the queue make sure no package is currently running.

Hi Amit,

since it is failing in the check requirement phase can you tell me what package you are trying to apply (i.e from which patch level to which 1? ) and also did you check the pre-requisites?

Hi Amit,

Were any previous support packages aborted? if so delete the queue and start a fresh import of the package. could you also tell me which phase the import has stopped on?

Hi Nitin,

Thanks for reply..

Before importing i checked the queue, it displayed queue is empty.

Secondaly when i am trying to improt patch from frontend it fetch error i.e

ERROR IN PHASE: CHECK_REQUIREMENTS.

REASON FOR ERROR: QUEUE NOT EMPTY.

Even i have checked the requirements, it satisfy all of them.

But when i tried to import it from application server it get hanged at stage: TP BUFFER PREPARED OK.

hi Amit,

there seems to be some kind of deadlock. Exit SPAM, Restart the Server and try doing it again.

and with regard to your,

> get hanged at stage: TP BUFFER PREPARED OK.

Are you sure it hung up? Coz, it takes a long time for the patches to run. i feel you just need to give some time to finish it. btw, the common error codes returned by TP are as follows. if any of the below occurs you need to bother (in your case its OK, isn't it) so why don't you give the server some time to finish the work its doing?

0: Everything is OK

4: Warnings occurred

8: Errors occurred

12: Fatal errors occurred

16: Internal errors occurred (e.g. constants too small, ....)

hi Amit,

In this case, you reset your queue and kill all process as said by Nitin. Start the server and Re-import your files.

Keep us posted with updates.
