Hi Karthi

When creating a report template, it is best to copy from the chart of accounts, as entering all the accounts and structures manually can be a lengthy process. To do this click on "Generate Chart of Account Template", and this will populate the template with the standard layout. Now you can move accounts to different titles by changing the "Parent Article" field or change the display sequence by choosing "Loc. on Tree".

You can also determine whether an account must be a liability or asset for balance sheet templates. To do this, click on an active account (not title) and select Transfer Accounts with Negative Sign. For example your bank account is an asset account, but you are in overdraft with the bank at the reporting date. This indicator will move it from assets to the specified Group and title under liabilities.

You can also use the Dummy title and Hide Accounts functions to simplify the layout of the report, or simply hide accounts you don't want displayed. When you run a financial report, you automatically get a level 1 to 5 display selection. When you expand to level 5 for example, you get all the titles repeated, making the report longer. By hiding these titles the report will be shorter and easier to read on screen.

You can create as many templates for each report as you need, and each user can choose his or her layout when running the report by changing from Chart of Accounts to Template Name.

Let me know if you need more details.

Kind regards

Hi Peter,

Could you please clearly explain this point:@

You can also determine whether an account must be a liability or asset for balance sheet templates. To do this, click on an active account (not title) and select

@> Transfer Accounts with Negative Sign. For example your bank account is an asset account, but you are in overdraft with the bank at the reporting date. This indicator will move it from assets to the specified Group and title under liabilities.

How can i transfer the account is there any provision given in SAP B1.?

Hi Karthi

This is a reporting function and it only "moves" it on the report. There is no impact on the General Ledger account or entry posted.

Kind regards
