I'd like to get additional information regarding the effects of transaction code BAUP (Country-specific transfer of bank data). Our current bank data are somewhat old, which results in a lot of banks getting flagged for deletion when BAUP is run in test mode.
I understand that a bank that's flagged for deletion won't really get deleted but I'd like to know whether that status will prevent other processes such as billing or payment from working in the future. Will we be forced to update a business partner's outdated banking data before billing them? Where exactly does the difference occur?

If you have vendors or customers or business partners who are still using some of those flagged for deletion bank master data, then yes, chances are you're going to have problem in the future. Check and update your vendor/customer master data assignment first before marking them for deletion.
