Generate BW Authorization Profiles from a Flat File

Dear Expert,

I have heard that there is a detailed How to about the implementation of BI Authorization Profiles from a Flat File, using a DSO and exit variables.

I found one for BW 3.XX, but I don't find anything for BI 7.0

Could someone provide me this document?

Hi Thibaud,

The approach will be the same for both BW 3.X and BI 7.0 for automatic generartion of BI Authorization profiles using DSO's.

You can use the same methodology by following the step by step document of generating Authorizations from a flat file from BW 3.X.

Pls follow the below presentation from Marc on BI Authorizations. there are some slides on Automatic generation of BI Auth Profiles.

Hi,

You need to first load the data in the DSO with the authorization information and then generate the authorizations.

Please go through the below link which give more information on this. There are templates available for the data format given here. You should prepare a flatfile with the details and load it to the DSO.
