What and where is SAPcar?

Hi everyone,

I have a document ".pat". Does it need SAPcar to be decompressed? What is SAPcar and how to get it?

.PAT is "Patch". It´s ususally put in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and installed/updated using SPAM or SAINT.

since you didn´t tell anything about where you got it from and what you intend to do with it we can´t help.

In fact I want to update the french language package to the system. But in SMLT it said the package is not valid. Since our system is 4.6 but the pat is for 4.7, is it the problem?

yes. You need the corresponding language package.
