Hi Everyone,

I am researching on SSO solution for SAP users running on HP-UX operating system and would like to find out a few answers on the following questions.

Is SAP SNC Adapter distributed for free or will have to be bought?

Is there documentation on how to configure SSO for SAP users on HP-UX?

Thanks,

You can use the SNC adapter for free - and it´s working. Check my comments to blog at

We use that on HP-UX, Solaris (both x64 and SPARC) and various Linux versions (IA64, x86, x64).

Hi Markus,

Thanks. So you have configured single sign on for your SAP users?

Where can I download the latest SNC Adapter version?

Yes.

Not for all systems (yet) but for most of them. We use the Windows authentication against AD to logon the users to the system. They doubleclick on the SAPLogon entry and are logged in.

Did you use the Realtech configuration document? Do you perhaps have a document on how SSO is configured for SAP users on HP-UX?

Where can I download SAP SNC Adapter?

I used (as written in the blog comment)

http://osdir.com/ml/encryption.kerberos.general/2004-11/msg00007.html

I compiled myself Kerberos (MIT Kerberos, the Heimdahl implementation works too), the SNC adapter and the necessary libraries since the vendor supplied libraries didn´t work. I built an .MSI package for the Windows frontends myself.

That was all "manual work", nothing was readily available to be installed.

Do you have a detailed document or know where I can download a detailed document on SNC?

No - I don't have more than that website - and I doubt that there is more available than that.

If you want to have it easy, you can buy something like Secude - which has also support.

I think we are misunderstanding each other.

I want more general information on SNC topic. Does SAP not have SNC documentation? If they do, where can I find it?

Thank you,

Hello,

We want to implement SSO in our landscape and wWe have Solaris 10 64bit.

We have try with /usr/lib/64/libgss.so library. The library is loading fine but SSO is not working...

How can we compile our own Library??

Many thanks,

David.
