Crystal Reports Developer Guide and API - compiled HTML files

Former Member

Well done to SAP for at last getting documentation onto the website that can be downloaded and run off-line. However, the 2 files on-line at the moment do not display content either when opened on-line or following download. In my own modes help file development I have had this issue where the compilation of the HTML file takes place on a network drive.

Anyone have an answer please?

Many thanks

Hello Ian,

I just downloaded the Crystal Reports .NET [developer guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/crsdk_net_dg_12_en.chm] CHM file, and the Crystal Reports .NET [API reference|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/crsdk_net_apiRef_12_en.chm] CHM file from the [Developer Library|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects?rid=/webcontent/uuid/5001d5de-f867-2b10-00bf-8d27683c85a0] on SAPs SDN site.

I was able to open both files without issue. Are these the files you downloaded? Or did you try different files.

If you haven't done so already you might try downloading them again.

Sincerely,

Hi Daniel

Still no joy I'm afraid. I have also tried a Win 2000 machine. I cannot see any settings on my m/c that would prevent the chm files from displaying properly. I can see the contents, index pane but not the detail on the right-hand side of chm display.

Daniel

My reply was too hasty! Unlike existing CHM files (MS Office, etc) the new chm files were blocked by an XP security patch. Now unblocked and fine.

I had a similar issue when opening from a network share.  Locally the files opened without issues though.
