Hi All,
We are trying to assign number ranges to Material Type ROH and FERT.
We need the internal number ranges different and the external number range will be common for both the material type.We have made two groups for each material type. But while assigning the external material type we are getting the message "Number Ranges overlapped"
Can anybody let us know how to assign the External number range common to material type ROH and FERT.
HI,
For a single material type u can have only one no range. Ie either internal or external. You can have the no. range as external one by checking the box adjacent to the selected no range. If it is internal then uncheck the box,
The same material type if is to be used then it may be copied as a ZROH or ZFERT probably then assin the external or internal no range. Please check MMNR
Hope this helps.

Prasanna

Hi.,
do not maintain 2 groups for ROH & FERT.
Maintain only 1 group & assign both ROH & FERT to same group

Thanks for all for the quick Update
We need to assign different internal number range for the ROH and FERT but the external number range is common for both the material types
E.g
Number Range for ROH (group 1)
20000000000 29999999999 Internal
AA ZZZZZZZZZZZ External
Number Range for FERT (group 2)
30000000000 39999999999
AA ZZZZZZZZZZZ
External Number Range should be same for both the groups
Hello
For a material type, the number ranges can be either internal or external but not both.

Check the external NR defined. create one external NR (it can be combination of both number & letters)and give it for both roh & fert.

you can maintain only one type of Number range to One Mat type..whether it is ext or internal..
you cannot maintain both Int & ext number range for one Mat type..
