can anybody suggest me about where used list in BOM. why we create it and what is the significance.
thanks in advance
Hi,
Use CS15 (Where used list)
For Ex: FG BOM Z is in Component A, you can trace this component A is in which Finish Goods (FG 'Z')

Hi,
The significance of Where used list is that, one can know about an item, where all it being used.
For eg.. If an item 'A' is used in assemblies X,Y,Z(BOM). If you use CS15 and enter item A and Qty., the result shows that, item A is required in X,Y,Z BOMs.
One need not remember about, where the item being used. Just you can use this transaction and know

Hi,
cs15 transaction is used to compare all types of BOMS.
Here we can differentiate between classes used in BOM, which is mentioned in the initial screen of cs15.
The direct materials can also be found . The advantage is that the output can be just displayed or it can be printed...

Use T code CS15 to access where used list in BOM . It will be used to trace particular components requiremnt , that it from where exactly requirement is coming .
