When we are doing any activity in APO say Generation of Forecast or generation of SNP Planned Orders etc, data is going to save in Live cahce & becz in Planning Area.
For extarction of data from Planning Area, we are using APO BW. Here data get saved in to Info cubes. if you want upload data from flat file, say History data then also you can use APO BW for uplaoding data.
Actually APO BW is used for saving the data of planning Area & further for reporting purpose. In APO BW System has given many functionality for reporting e.g. BEx (Business Explorer). With the help of this functionality you can generate different types reports, KPI etc.
