Dear,

Planning calender is used for example if you have maintained lot size as WB (Weekly lot) then the procurement proposals will be generated on the basis of Week you have defined in the planning calender.

Planning calender defines flexible period lengths for material requirement planning at plant level.

1 .Using planning calender, you can define flexible periods for a period lot size procedure in MRP..

2. System groups together purchase order proposal, which fall within the period defined in the planning calender to form a lot.

3. Allocate this special lot size procedure to material in material master together with the planning calender

Like example I want lot in every 15 days or every 2 months. Which can be meet only through planning calendar in MRP only. But for scheduling MRP considers only factory calendar which is assigned to plant.

You can create throuh MD25.

Hope this clear for you.
