Material assignment to rework order header

Dear Experts,

How to assign material to a production order header created without material.The rework order created through trigger points is not having the material assigned to its header . What is the significance of using the control key with rework activated.

HI

That is the fundmental concept behind the rework order......it will not have header material.

Rework order is without material which we use to capture the extra consumption of material for reworking and the extra operational cost incurred against the material.

I want to create the rework order automatically through triggger points with the material to be assigned to the order header automatically.However components required can be added manually.It it possible ?

Dear,

There are two ways to do the rework in the production order. One is through standard reference operation set where u can call the Standard rework operation ,second way is that u can create rework operation using rework control key so that this can be used as rework indicator in the production order.

The indicator Rework is set in the control key. An operation for rework in a routing cannot be scheduled because the rework quantity has not yet been determined.You can manually enter an operation quantity for these operations in the production order.in that case ue use it.

1.The rework order is the reference of the main order.

2.Make the cost of the rework into the main order only.

3 So as it implies the material you want to rework will get select by the order . no assignment is possible for the rework

Dear,

If you creatign order without material then , enter in the component same material for which you are doing rework and assign to production order .

Follow these steps,

1.Create Rework order without material at CO07 with out material .

2. Assign the settlement receiver as orginal production order at settlement rule.

3. Assign the rework material & component if needed at rework order & assign the issue storage location (unrest- use storage loaction above).component overview of Rework order

4. Do the confirmation for rework order & rework materail will be issued from stock to order

5. GR will not be done for rework order.To get stock for reworked material Do the GR for orginal order & settle the both order
