Hi Tony,

To convert from REM to Discrete (Production Order) -

First removal of the REM profile tick on the MRP4 view.

But for this prerequisite is deletion of Production Version.

Following are the prerequisites for deletion of production version.

1) You must settle the product cost collector, created for the version.

2) No more planned orders should exist in the system which are assigned to the production version.

3) If you work with reporting points, then no WIP should exist.

4) If inspection lot exists, the usage decision should be made on the same.

5) There could be some steps in Controlling area to be carried out.

Hope it is clear.

Tony,

All REM Configs can remain same. You need to configure the following for PP,

1. Order types Parameters - OPL8. (if you are creating new order types then OPJH)

2. Check Control - OPJK

3. Confirmation Parameters - OPK4.

4. Order Print Parameters - OPK8.

5. Order Scheduling parameters - OPU3.

6. OPPQ & OPPR for Plant Parameters and MRP Group Parameters.

Dear,

Once u have created planned order against that material then u can not change /Remove the REM Mfg check from the material master.

First u should close all the planned order generated with respect to that material.

Manually remove the ref Mfg indicator from the material master

Note:

Check the costing point of view also.

Suppose if ur going thr' preliminary cost estimate then u have to do the std cost estimate for that material.

settlement profile which assigned to the order type.

Tony,

From the PP Perspective,

1. In the material master you need to Remove the REM Indicator, REM Profile from the MRP4 view.

2. Delete the Existing Production Versions.

3. Create Work Centers. Flag Existing production Lines for Deletion.

4. Flag or Delete the Existing Rate Routings.

5. Create Routings.

6. Create Production Versions if required.

7. Cost Roll-up to be done using CK40N.

All Transaction Data to be closed before doing all this.
