Replicating Datasources

Hi All

We have BI system connected to R/3 system. Now our Qual R/3 system is upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. Now the BASIS is trying to connect Qual R3 and Qual BI system. When we rt. click on source system in RSA1, it says at the end: datasource cant be saved to the datasource : 3.x 0material_attr. whats this mean ? It says with the same name, RSDS datasource exists.

What steps we have to do immdly when a R/3 system is upgraded ?

1) do we have to do something in R3 also with the DSs ?

2) If the replication on Rt. click on Source system fails with the above error, what should i do ?

can i manually replicate that datasource in RSDS ? I dont see that DS too in my BI. So why it says to be replicated ? Should i restore it as 3.x or RSDS ds ?

Hi Praveen,

I ran the report RSDS_REPL_RESET and deleted some of the DS.

Hi,

There may be some data sources missing after R/3 upgrade to ECC6.

Search OSS notes for the same.

See Note: 735646 for missing FI Data Sources.
