Aging balance and G/L Balance

The Creditors aging report = $103,200 the creditors g/l account = $100,000.

The trial balance report for all months balances.

Any ideas as to the cause of this discrepancy?

Hi,

Please also check if you have created some payables under different head other than creditors, for example,

Inter company transfers.

Else, please log a support message.

What version & patch are you on Lisa?

I ask this as we had an instance after upgrade to 2007A where a re-opened transactions caused a variance between the GL and the control. It did require a data fix by support.

I would recommend logging a support request if this is a possibility, as support have queries they can run to identify the issues quicker than we can...

1) Running report for todays date -

2) Please check that the control accounts are selected. - correct there are 2 control account and the total is 3200 out.

3) no BP has an open balance of 3200 (or half of this value)

Any other suggestions

Hi Lisa,

You can check a couple of things,

1) If you are running the backdated aging report, the same is run as per settings mentioned in Note No. 800294.

PS : for 2007A version please run the report by checking both the tickboxes.

2) Please check that the control accounts are selected. There is a Control Account [ ... ] on the Aging Report. See what Control Accounts are included and what is the G/L Balance for those accounts.

3) if still difference, then please try to locate from the List of BP Code , the BP which has the balance of 3200. Probably you find the discrepency.

Hope it helps.

Regards,
