where can i assign an order type to strategy.
Dear,
Whenever we converte planned order to production order system aumatically picks production order type PP01 from MRP group assignment OPPR where you can define the strategy group also. Then assign this MRP group to your material master.
With OPPQ..Check with the Transaction OVZG..(Requirements Classes)..
Depending on the Pl. Strategy you can specify the Order Type here.
Hope it will work for you.

Deepu,
Directly assigning Strategy Group to Order type or wise versa is not possible. If you are looking to default Order type based on Strategy Group, then I would suggest the following,
1. Create MRP Groups, assign the strategy group and then assign the Order types in transaction OPPR.
2. Assign this MRP groups to the relevant Materials in the Material Master MRP1 View.

Hi,
Strategy is linked to the Material Master. Production Order types are linked to the plant in OPPQ and OPL8.
Come back with specific issues.

Hi
Try with transaction OPJH. ( Could you elaborate the question little more?)
