I am preparing to install Enterprise XI 3.0 and setup the CMS database. The documentation indicates that it is critical to use the UTF-8 characterset however he is leary after learning that there might be some support issues with SQL2005.
He has posed the following question: At the database level (not Sql server or O/S layer), what is the specific collation to which the EnterpriseXi databases need to be set?
Does anyone have any knowledge of this situation?
hi,
we actually had concerns with UTF8 before, you may want to try AL32-UTF8, as this is a superset of UTF8. We're not having problems with this charset (so far).
I'm not sure though if this is supported with MS SQL
