In Su3 default tab what impotance does langauge have?
Actually I changed the langauge from EN to DE but was unable to see any change.
There are a few people who have a problem understanding Langauge so we wanted to change their langauge but even after this there was no change in the Langauge.
Do we need to do some other setting changes in order this New langauge takes effect.
Thanks
JLG

Hi JLG,
In order to change the SAP language, the following setting needs to be changed in the SAP instance profile,
zcsa/installed_languages = DE
This will affect the whole system and not any particular user.
Most language administration can be done with transactions SMLT and SP12, and reports RSCP0001, RSCP0004, RSCP0017, and RSCP0020.
I dont think you can do this change through SU3.

Hi JLG,
In SU3 default tab, it enables an user to change his logon language and the logon screen will appear in the language set by him provided if that language is installed in the system and based on certain profile parameters setting.
Depending upon the value set for the parameter zcsa/system_language the logon screen appears in the language defined by this parameter.
The parameter : zcsa/installed_languages defines the logon languages permitted for an application server.
Thanks,
Saby..
